About the doctor
A physician with 15 years of experience in general surgery, phlebology and proctology, a graduate in medicine of the Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv (2010), the oldest and most respected medical school in Ukraine. Licensed to practise in Poland since 2023 (licence no. 4243790, Regional Chamber of Physicians in Warsaw). He combines work at the surgical ward of Otwock District Hospital (Powiatowe Centrum Zdrowia) with appointments at the Branickiego 10 Medical Centre in Warsaw-Wilanów.
At our centre he provides surgical consultations and procedures under local anaesthesia, including the treatment of perianal vein thrombosis. He sees patients in Polish, Ukrainian and Russian, which matters for people for whom discussing proctological problems in their own language is the precondition for seeing a doctor at all. In Ukrainian sources his name appears as Микола Шпаковський (Mykola Shpakovskyi).
Since 2021 he has served as president of the board of the Polish-Ukrainian Centre Foundation, an organisation supporting the Ukrainian community in Poland.
